USP 797 is a governmental regulation specific to health care institutions, pharmacies, physician’s facilities, and other compound sterile preparations are prepared, stored, or dispensed. The regulation is to prevent infections for patients using pharmaceutical products, as well as to protect pharmacy staff members that exposed to pharmaceutical products. USP 797 is a required set of regulations for sterile compounding standards issued by the Unites States Pharmacopeia (USP). USP 797 describes the guidelines, procedures and compliance which sterile preparations and are compounded. Testing services include air and surface samples for non-viable (nonliving) particulates such as fine dusts, viable particulates including fungi and bacteria in Virginia, Maryland, DC.
